My name is Shreya Swaminathan. I'm a seventeen year old student from Perry High School. My passion for the foster care system first bloomed when I witnessed the first death of my life. It was a rainy day and my grandfather had told me that one of his relatives had passed away. After we arrived to the destination, I was anxious. When I looked at the little girl crying for her mother, I felt a pang in my heart because of the fabric of emptiness the world had embroidered into her soul. My first thought was. "What is going to happen to her now?" And I was genuinely concerned because I was never given the answers I needed. Although the answers were sugar-coated, they also introduced me to the concept of adoption, and in my opinion, that was the beginning of looking at the world in a new light.

I used to wonder about the foster care system and this website is the fruit of my research. I frequently come across children and adults who are left to care for themselves in this wild world and for them reality strikes too soon. For those who are seeking for answers or solace from their own foster care bitter experiences, this website has more to offer. I have created this site to spread the awareness of the flaws of the foster care system and to make an organized effort to bring to light, the plight of the neglected ones.
